Pro Active Reporting of Delta Late Departures – By Voice or Text Message
Why Report a Late?
Throughout the system, many of the codes that gate agent’s assign to late departures are not correct. These errors occur with a number of late Compass departures on a daily basis. Wrong codes can be the result of an entering error, misunderstandings or wrong assumptions by the agent(s). In some cases, it can be a deliberate attempt to hide gate and ground personnel accountability.
To counter act these errors, Compass InFlight has created a phone number (314-504-3462) that Compass Flight Attendants can call or text to make their Supervisors aware of the reasons for late departures. Late departures are something that supervisors and some SAFA’s are required to track daily. Late departures directly affect the working terms with our mainline partners and the Compass PAYS bonus program.
The phone number above is provided as a proactive tool for Compass Flight Attendants so they can provide information on their own time vs receiving a possible call from InFlight. InFlight has only a day or two to investigate late departures, so promptness of reporting is crucial. By addressing any incorrect codes it helps protect the Compass PAYS quarterly bonus plan.
Consider texting or calling this number if a late departure is not the result of anything the Compass cabin crew did to create a late. You may also want to request the flight deck enter it in their records, for the departure in question, as well.
