Catriona has been in the airline industry for four years, a flight attendant at Independence Air, and was in the initial flight attendant group when the Compass Airlines launched service in 2007. Originally from Loch Lomond, Scotland, she now lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and 4 legged Italian ‘mutts’. Catriona served as Chairperson of the successful Compass Airlines Flight Attendants for AFA campaign. Her ‘flying’ career has followed over 17 years in the corporate world in training, sales and management. In her spare time Catriona: continues to act, though focuses now on legal role-playing for legal firms in the DC area; she also captains women’s tennis teams, though cutting down from 5 to 3 this year! Catriona feels very strongly about solid business models and flawless work ethics: a nurturing, encouraging, enthusiastic work environment ; leads to happy frontline employees; leads to thrilled customers; leads to repeat customers and increased customer base; leads to increased company profits; leads to happy shareholders; leads to ‘share the wealth’ with the employees, all of them!

A native of Wisconsin, Jay has been in the airline industry for ten years, first at two regional airlines, then at Midway Airlines, in Chicago, Illinois from 1987 to 1991. Following a stint in financial services and retail management, he returned to the airlines because it has always been where the action is. He serves Compass flight attendants as IOE instructor. Jay is a firm believer that the progress of the flight attendant career relies on building on the rich history of labor achievements. In his free time he spends time with his family, traveling and musical pursuits.

Tanya has been in the airline industry for eight years, first at Continental Airlines, then at Compass since 2007. Tanya is originally from Texas and has lived in Minnesota for 21 years. Tanya also is an IOE instructor and PBS instructor to Compass flight attendants. Tanya has also served as Girl Scout leader for several years. Tanya’s admires Eleanor Roosevelt view on experience: “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. Youar are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do."

Luis served his country in Vietnam in 1968, he was wounded in action and received a Purple Heart. Since then, Luis managed a successful insurance agency for a major insurance company for 18 years, with a substantial customer base of 1980 accounts. During his employment with the insurance company, Luis continued to serve his country for 20 years in the Michigan Air National Guard. During his last 10 years of military service, he served in a leadership position, the last year of which he was the First Sergeant for the entire unit of over 1100 people. Luis finally retired from military service in 2006 as a Master Sergeant. He lives by his integrity, his honesty and his perseverance. In his spare time, Luis loves to sail and play golf.
Tamara is a native of South Dakota and came to Compass in January 2008. Prior to joining the Compass Team, Tamara was employed by the State of South Dakota for about just about 20 years. Ten years was spent in the Unified Judicial System and the following in Higher Education. Tamara has always had an interest in the airline industry and enjoys the people she meets and knowing that no two days will be the same. When not flying, Tamara lives on a working farm with many animals and enjoys just about anything to do with the outdoors, along with spending time with family and friends.
