EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)
As an AFA member you and your family members have access to the AFA Employee Assistance Program.
From time to time, everyone experiences personal or work-related problems. Sometimes, these problems can overwhelm our normal coping strategies. Support from a trained peer or a referral to a mental health professional may prove helpful. The AFA EAP helps members, their families and partners deal with concerns on and off the job that affect them. AIR SAFETY, HEALTH AND SECURITY DEPT
The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA fights exclusively to improve conditions that affect the safety, health and security of flight attendants. The AFA-CWA Air Safety, Health and Security Department (ASHSD) provides full-time staff support in Washington DC for the AFA-CWA Safety Committee Chairs and members and is responsible for solving problems that cannot be solved at the carrier level.

THE PEGASUS PROJECT
This project provides short-term emergency grants for members of the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) who are experiencing financial hardship due to a critical, life-threatening illness or injury. These efforts are accomplished with compassion, confidentiality and the preservation of dignity and respect for the individuals concerned.

Retired AFA members are members of the 2.7 million member Alliance for Retired Americans, which is made up of retirees from AFL-CIO affiliated unions. Retired AFA members remain eligible for benefits under the Union Plus Program. More details here.
